Hi all. Thanks again for all the support and love. We had success and fun Saturday night. We used Kandie’s Mac to make the basketball tournament-advertizing poster (below) and then posted it around town—after winning the lottery draw at city hall again to get permission. We had over 30 non members turn up. I think most checked ‘yes’ on the signup sheets to hear introductory discussions, and will find out how many tomorrow. We kept four games going simultaneously. Sister Pike (from Provo) and Kandie manned one of the score boards. The ‘2-day old’ Elder Turner (Olympus High School) is just over Kandie’s shoulder trying his level best to engage people in conversation with his rapidly improving Japanese language skills. Did I play? You bet--at least while training my 3-man teams of contenders at the church. Some think I am pretty good at basketball. They don’t know yet that I pasted a small piece of tape at various 3-point long shot positions, and then practiced shooting baskets when no one was around. As they say, age and treachery….. How did my teams do? One of them took the championship, but probably not because of any help from me. Love, Keith (Dad)
