Cold Noodles in the Hot Summer

Kandie played in the food game in tonight’s (Monday FHE for YSA) game, then ate some of the three different kinds of cold noodles that tasted perfect in our near 100 degree weather (at over 60% humidity). Kandie is surprised at how well she is doing in the heat, including walking to Curves and exercising hard there. Our YSA Outreach Centers are continuing to grow, and we are to be in charge (as oversight supervisors) of another new one to open in Kagoshima, next month. Yesterday (Sunday) Kandie talked in both Sacrament meetings at the Stake President’s invitation, and received praise for her Japanese. Her Relief Society tutors were proud of her, and she continues to meet with them for an hour every morning. The huge stack of papers full of kanji that she has learned is impressive. I loved it when we had dance practice as part of our Marriage Preparation Class last week. Others joined our class and enjoyed standing around and watching with interest as a few actually danced, and it appeared to be emotionally exhausting to all of them. So I think we should do it again.
