Sewing, etc...

While Kandie is reading(!!!) and checking the Kanji names of those in attendance next to a quilt-in-progress, below, a furious competition was occurring just out of sight behind her.......Also shown was the Thanksgiving Turkey at the other end of the Cultural Hall.....We had over 100 different YSA (including YSA investigators) attending at one time or another during the month of November.

What were our YSA shooting at in the pictures? Their plastic guns shot those soft, little, yellow, plastic balls you see in every toy store here in Japan and in the US. The shooters had stacked upside-down paper cups into a pyramid, and then put a small plastic action figure on top. The pyramid was set against the drapes, so it was easy to retrieve the ammo. When hit, the cups tumbled in a very satisfying way. I crept behind the curtain, pushed the camera through a place where two curtains hung together, and took a picture before the shooters looked up in surprise. In that picture it looks like I was the target. Love, Keith
